Song in my mind ~ Spring - Bare the Musical
Well its been over two months... and nobody missed me. Guess I was correct that I didn't need to blog. Plus I was talking to a friend... and sometimes I guess I do go on to much. Oh well.
But its time for a update. I'll try to make it brief.. and not bitch.
Since the last post. I met Will Ferrell while I was working.
I saw my 4th Spring Awakening on Valentine's Day. Thats were I saw in the audience Chad Allen from Dr. Quinn, Our House, even Star Trek TNG fame!!! He's a out gay actor, and gawd he's cute in person. I met him during intermission, and he def prob thought I was a loon. But its not everyday you meet someone like him. However I think I do a good job at it.. haha with the likes of Keram, Barrett Foa alot of the cast of Spring Awakening and Elijah Wood. I do come in contact with people with more clout then me. haha...
I was out in Indianapolis for a couple days around my birthday... kinda had fun... found a really good sushi place out there. But oh well.. I'm five years past gay death now.... woo hoo!
I was re-reading my last blog, and of course as I called it an obsession, Bare the Musical had def taken a big effect in my life.
Last week I went to Newark Delaware to the University of Delaware production of Bare. It was nothing short of Fab and amazing.
I met the whole cast, learned about the underlying gossip... and I was just taken back by how amazing these 20 somethings were. I met some really nice... and even cute.... people down there.
I offered a Olive Branch to the LB to go and see it, and he just blew me off. His loss...
Bare has completely grabbed hold of me. I can't listen to it, or even talk about without crying. The story is just that way. You would have to have no heart for it not to effect you.
I even contacted the composer Damon and told him about how well U Del did, and he wrote back and told me that he never gotten as many emails from a certain production as this one... so he knows that something "special" has been happening.
Penn State is suppose to be doing it soon, and I'm not sure if I'll go to somewhere in New York or Cincinnati OH to see. BUT I HAVE TO SEE IT. Plus I would love to direct it.
Oh well...
Thats it I guess.
Jason
