Song in my mind ~ Ever Since the World Began - Survivor
And I stand alone, a man of stone
Against the driving rain
And the night - it's got your number
And the wind - it crys your name
And we search for clues
Against the driving rain
And the night - it's got your number
And the wind - it crys your name
And we search for clues
Win or lose,
In this we're all the same
The hope still burns eternal
We're the keeper of the flame
We're the keeper of the flame
I almost choose not to write down a update... but here I am... Well the NYC was great as usual.... I love my favorite groups... We saw Chicago on Friday, and on Saturday Eric and I saw Leap of Faith, which he got a good price on tickets. We were both surprised how much we enjoyed it. I at least get nervous over movie's made into musicals... (hence I'm pretty sure I will not see Ghost... haha) But both him and I really enjoyed it... and to see Raul Esparza. The show was amazing. And there was this kid in the show that I told Eric that I didn't want to even meet him at stage door... I was afraid I would want to kidnap him and be a stage mom that would make Mamma Rose look like a saint... haha.. After some of our talk I was a bit afraid he took it the wrong way. We were talking about it seems I'm starting to be the mother hen of a few little gays in DuBois. Not that they would know it, but I have done things to protect them like getting their ass thrown off grindr for being on there and the wolves not knowing they are under 18... Oh well... I know it was for the best.. even though it may not be my place.
As for the song, Jamie's anniversary of his passing came and went again, and well every time I hear that Survivor song I think of him... And I miss him.... His sister liked my facebook remembrance of him... that was nice... What I wouldn't have done or do, to have him never to have left us so.. early. Even if we would have never been a couple... Last Sunday I was able to actually have a day off and went to the Westline Leak Fest... Mom and Chuck went with their friends and we met up there. Weird years ago I used to know so many there... now it was under 10. Oh well times change... Got some good food, and came home, I also stopped by Jamie's grave, it was a beautiful day so I just spent some time with him. My plaque that I had made over 10 years ago has seen better days.... I will see if I can come up with something better.
Also while I was in Bradford recently getting the truck serviced I saw the BHOH, and his new thing.... The thing looked at me, and when he open his mouth the grey/black/brown teeth (mind you I'm about 20 feet away so thats how BAD it had to be) made me throw up a little in my mouth... Damn..... thats all I can say. I wouldn't want that mouth around me, afraid I would catch gangrene or some other flesh eating disease. Yeah Troll, have fun with that... I might be single, but I'll gladly stay single for the rest of my life before I would want you or your fugly thing to come closer then 20 feet.... Again I have a house, great job, 2011 truck, boat, horse, great pets, and well everything you don't have.... I got the better side of things... just saying.... haha...
Speaking of that... I met this very young person of color the other day... he wanted to come over to hook up, and actually I was more attracted to him after meeting him, because I thought he be over the top if you know what I mean, but he was very much not that way. He has a lot of family issues... whole lot of mom not accepting him.. and such... so I just wasn't in the mood to "prey" on him.. so we watched a bit of TV and a movie and I took him home. Hopefully that gains me some gentleman standing... We might hang out again.. we shall see.... guess that is it.
Look for the spelling of Raul's name I came across some great videos of him, Neil Patrick Harris and his hubby, and some bootlegs of Next to Normal.... for being on call... not a bad weekend!!
best
J
