Song in my mind ~ Hey, Hey, Heya, Hey, Hey, Heya, I say, Whats going on?
Your welcome, that phrase should have plastered that song in your mind.
Well I did one mildly stupid thing last night, broke some silent running, however its just because I'm going on vacation and I 'think' I need to bring someone. Which I do not... I don't enjoy it when I take people. So there...
Well to recap the past month, yep I'm on call again.
Jacob is still in exile, but I don't think he minds it too much, well that was until he got a girlfriend for two days and they took her away.... Poor horse, his pasture companion is a little miniature horse. Me with a little 18yo twink... Yeah I would probably like it, however, Jacob is definitely NOT GAY.... So he wants his mare back.. haha.. poor horse. However we have been going on some very nice rides and well... other then him wanting me to lose about 100 pounds, we go pretty good.
Elphaba is warming up to me more and more... she will actually cuddle on the one couch, and she's been sleeping in the bed more. However Ceeto has been sleeping less... not sure why... but hopefully he doesn't change to much. He loves her to death and still is a really good daddy cat to her, so I'm not sure why he's staying out in the living room more.
I went up to Toronto in mid July to see Bare, well I thought I wasn't going to make it to Abay, and I wanted to see Bare at least one time this year. Overall I had a great trip and loved the city in a more warm time of the year. (i do get up there in the dead of winter way too much) However Bare was not as "tight" as I thought it would be. Or the director just did a "Dibble" on me and well that makes me think he purposely did everything the opposite on how I would direct it.
The Jason was the hottest Jason I've seen. He has a great voice, but I thought he was a bit to timid in playing Jason. He would have been maybe a better Peter.
Peter was ok, but miscasted... They broke the fifth wall during See me... (meaning Peter grabbed his mother's arm during the phone call as she was prematurely hanging up...)((I wanted to smack the director...))
Nadia was skinny?!?!?! Instead of a loveable chubby girl, she came across as a nerdy bitch. Good singer as well.
Matt was professionally played. But that means that he was at one level, and well the rest was not.
Sister Chantel would have been the best so far, however, she at times lost energy. (dancing in 911 Emergency).. hun, thats why you have back up dancers, so you can hit those notes. In God don't make no trash, she made it a Southern Baptist Rival Gospel thing... which if it didn't make the whole production come to a crashing stand still.... might have been interesting if it wasn't during the actual play. Do that kinda thing in a Cabaret. It was too much, I can sing... and however again, not hitting the highs in that song. This is not intended to sound mean, I just wish I had a week with this cast and I think it would have been more on. We need that song to be fast and fun.
Ivy was good. (not as good at UD's) The mother was a mixture of William Shatner and Ethel Merman... and looked like Andrea Martin... I was excited at first thinking it was her... but no.. it was over acted... hence the William Shatner reference...
But I found this amazing all you can eat sushi place for $14 dollars, and the hotel was nice so that made it all better!!!!
Also I met three people, Dan who may be a distant Canadian relative who shared my old Canadian Great, Great Grandfather's old name who only changed his name to Valentine after he came to the states after he thought he murdered someone up there in a bar fight. He was a major little hottie, says he's only metro... too bad the girls won't want him as must as the gays. I can't remember the girl's name that I met... but hello... two cute guys... I'm surprised I even remember a girl being in the group.. haha
I also met Tommy... well my heart went pitter patter for a bit, then I realized he is 20, and 400 miles away... oh well... we have chatted a few times since and he introduced me to the stagedoor app on facebook... goodtimes there! haha.. I tried to talk him into coming to the Thousand Islands this week, well he couldn't, which again was probably for the best.
Yep I'm heading to Abay on Thursday. Gonna see Paul and Andy from the old band, see if there are any new hot pirate's invading the bay for the first weekend of pirates weekend. I'm doing a little more budget conscience hotel... so I will miss Pine Tree Point... but I'm single I don't need the romantic atmosphere of PTP, this trip. So other then that I'm looking forward to having some time off.
Best,
J
