Song In My Mind ~ Help is on its way - The Little River Band

I know thats a very old corny song.... however it was a song that popped in my head when I was up in a suspension bridge in Capalino Canyon yesterday....

Well as I stated a little bit back, my current job assignment is rather challenging at times. However yesterday I had the most amazing day. I woke up at a decent time ate and grabbed the hotel shuttle out to the Airport SkyTrain. I took that to a city bus that went threw Stanly Park (were that actor just killed himself) over the Lions Gate Bridge. Switched buses and ended up at the Capalino Suspension Bridge instead of Lynn Valley. Well Capalino might be built up more and more "touristy" it was fun... I enjoyed the main suspension bridge and the ones they have hung up in the trees... In what they call their "Rain forest"... Very pretty. Then I was curious about Grouse Mountain, so I got back on the bus and went up a bit more. I saw this reservoir and got back out. The mountains reflecting off this body of water just just amazing. Mind you this was on the sunniest day we had since we been out here. Off in the distance I saw this tram car going up the mountain and I found out that it was Grouse Mountain, so back on the bus and up there I went. Mind you this is all "city" buses that I get to ride on for free due to the job assignment.

Well at Grouse Mt. I almost didn't want to pay the 45 dollars to ride to the top. But I did and boy I'm glad I did. I spent about four breathe taking hours just looking out from top on one of the most beautiful places I have ever been.... and of course with the most perfect weather for being March 7th. Get this.... I'm at a ski resort in March, sunny and all I had on was a light coat.

I ended up eating lunch there, and met a really nice guy named Brad. We talked about Davie St. here in Vancouver so I'm pretty sure he's on my team....

Well I'm back to work, slash, in the white refugee camp, in Vancouver. The insanity has definitely has dropped to a more manageable level due to not having as many buses.

I have plans for another day off tomorrow, and I plan to go skiing at Whistler. Little nervous that since I'm renting they will have these new fangle skies that I never tried before... so I'm thinking there is a good chance that I will break something... haha.... hope not... but still...

So now I'm thinking I'm glad I stayed because this second part is going a bit better then the first insanity.

"Hang on. Help is on the way!"

best,
J
